Iconic boot brand Palladium will launch a women’s rainboot this fall. The knee-high style comes detailed with the brand’s signature toe cap and cushioned footbed. For added warmth, the boot is lined with plaid flannel. Available in black, dark khaki and gold, the boot retails for $85 and delivers in October.
Lacoste is taking its amphibious inspiration more literally these days, with the fall ’11 launch of a women’s rainboot in an embossed crocodile print. Available in seven colors, the mid-calf Raincourt Croc style retails for $120 and hits stores in August.
This fall, Canada’s Native brand will add the Paddington, a women’s lace-up rainboot made of lightweight foam-injection molded EVA that’s lightweight, airy and washable. Available in a wide color palette, it retails for $80 and delivers in August.

Dansko debuts rainboots for women and kids this fall. Keeping comfort in mind, the women’s style features a removable cushioned footbed, while the children’s styles incorporate a foam EVA footbed. The collection will be a part of the Sanibel series of clogs on sneaker bottoms that launched in spring ’11. Retailing for $95 to $115 for the women’s boot, and $65 to $75 for the children’s, the line delivers in July.
After repeatedly ruining her designer shoes in bad weather, entrepreneur Deborah Haslam has introduced The Stylish ShoeCover by Grace Carter, a collection of waterproof shoe coverings designed by industry veteran M. Coleman Horn. The four-way, stretchable, breathable shoe coverings come complete with discreet back zipper to help them slip over everything from flats to stilettos. Set for August delivery, the line retails for $75 to $125 and is available in a range of sizes and patterns, including solids and animal prints.
