Geox has appointed Sharon Crabill as COO of its North American branch. She replaces Gary Champion, who left the company in October 2009.
The appointment of Crabill, most recently regional VP of Luxottica’s Sunglass Hut, is part of a restructuring of Geox’s American team in order to further develop its U.S. business.
“After 15 successful years of growth in 105 countries, we have recently undergone a deep structural change that involved all the key top managers and marks a new phase in our development,” said chairman and founder Mario Polegato, in a company statement.
He emphasized the company’s intent to better service the U.S. market in the areas of operations, marketing and distribution.
The company has also relocated its U.S. headquarters to a space in its New York store on 34th Street.
Crabill’s initiatives include rebuilding relationships with key clients and building a larger consumer base.
