Exec Moves: Robert Clergerie, Stuart Weitzman

Clergerie Names Creative Director
Robert Clergerie has appointed designer Roland Mouret as the label’s creative director.

Mouret, who is a partner with Simon Fuller’s XIX Entertainment Ltd., has worked with Clergerie in the past and is now tasked with strengthening the brand’s position in the industry, alongside new shareholders Jean-Marc Loubier and Fung Brands Ltd., a subsidiary of Fung Capital.

“I’m delighted to see Roland Mouret at the head of the maison that I created,” founder Robert Clergerie said in a statement. “It is a great symbol to see such perspectives, with a talent who already knows and loves our company.”

Mouret’s list of fans already includes a variety of celebrities, such as Scarlett Johansson, Nicole Kidman and Uma Thurman.

“To be the creative director of Robert Clergerie is an incredible opportunity,” Mouret said. “For so many people, it’s such an important brand and held in the highest affection, as is Robert Clergerie himself. This is a chance for me to work with a master on the art and craft of shoe design and to be part of the special relationship that women have with their shoes.”

Park Joins Stuart Weitzman
Stuart Weitzman named Liza Park as the new SVP of U.S. retail.
Park’s duties will include developing and monitoring retail growth initiatives, in addition to visual merchandising, talent management and in-store retail programs.
Prior to this, Park worked as director of U.S. retail at Versace. She also has held management roles at Club Monaco, Spiegel Brands, MaxMara, Urban Outfitters and Henri Bendel.
