Back at the Ranch Adds Handbag Collab for Holiday

Western boot retailer Back At The Ranch will expand its holiday offering to include a new line of high-end handbags produced in collaboration with New York designer Anthony Luciano.

The Santa Fe, Ariz.-based shop, owned by Wendy Lane Henry, tapped Luciano after he held a trunk show there. The line features whip stitching, tooled leathers and tassels, as well as exotic materials such as ostrich and alligator. Novelty ornaments — longhorns and Indian heads cast in bronze and sterling — decorate the bags. And, for good luck, an authentic Indian head nickel will be attached to the inside of each bag.

Included in the bag collection are hobos, clutches and totes, retailing from $800 to $3,000. The bags, initially carrying the Anthony Luciano label, will be wholesaled through Luciano and Back At The Ranch. Because the bags are produced domestically, custom orders can be placed. The line is slated to deliver in December.
