Women’s Buzz: Marc Fisher, Tuleste Market & More

Tote Route
Marc Fisher Footwear is venturing into the handbag market. The brand, which has been designing and manufacturing footwear exclusively for Macy’s for the past five years, has partnered with Me & You Accessories to design a 50-style collection of bags for spring ’11. The offering, predominately priced below $100, includes cross-body satchels, evening-ready clutches and career totes and will be sold exclusively at Macy’s.

Super Market
Sisters Celeste and Satu Greenberg — the jewelry designers behind Tuleste Market — will debut footwear for the brand for spring ’11. The shoes, which will include platforms, wedges, pumps and spectators, aim to have a vintage and modern flair. The line will complement the jewelry, borrowing detailing such as metal plating and rosettes. Retail prices range from $295 to $475, with the shoes available online and in specialty stores such as Shopbop.com and Albertine New York.

The Dark Side
Velvet Angels co-founder Joe Ponce is playing off the current vampire obsession with a “romantic goth”-themed collection for spring. The line includes peep-toe mules with skull details and bramble ankle ties; simple ballet flats; peep-toe pumps made with aircraft-grade aluminum; and a slingback bootie featuring carved wood. The line also incorporates menswear details in laser-cut, oxford-inspired flats and spectator platform sandals. All styles include poron footbeds. Retailing for $225 to $450, the shoes will be sold at retailers such as Kitson, Zappos.com and Endless.com.
