Taryn Rose Said to Be in Sale Talks

High-end comfort brand Taryn Rose is close to being sold, multiple sources told Footwear News.

The timing of a deal is unclear, but some industry experts believe a deal could come as early as this week. Taryn Rose execs declined to comment.

Several retailers, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the brand was not delivering for spring. In addition, Taryn Rose recently closed all its stores, including the New York location just last week.

In late 2008, the brand named former Reebok brand executive and Lululemon Athletica chief Robert Meers as CEO. Meers and his wife, Miriam Kelly, also took a stake in the company and were co-managing the business. Earlier that year, Taryn Rose resigned from her eponymous firm.
