Soles4Souls to Bow Kids’ Line

At last count, Soles4Souls has collected and donated more than 10 million pairs of shoes. Now, it’s making its own.

The Nashville, Tenn.-based charity is teaming up with Synclaire Brands, the creative brains behind Stuart Weitzman and Michael Kors’ kids’ collections, to launch a Soles4Souls children’s label. Headed for stores next spring, the line touts a pay-it-forward premise, with special boxes that invite kids to pack up a pair of their outgrown shoes and mail them to Soles4Souls.

The boxes even come equipped with tape, a pre-addressed mailing label and a note card that kids can fill out for the future owner of their shoes, making the whole send-off a snap.

“The shoes will be a great vehicle to teach children social responsibility at a young age,” said Soles4Souls founder and CEO Wayne Elsey. “As an enterprise, we’re always looking for out-of-the-box ways to promote our cause, and this really exemplifies that.”
