Juniors’ footwear brand Rocket Dog has tapped Kim Dresser to head up the company’s marketing division.
The 15-year industry veteran, who most recently worked as VP of global communications and public relations for DC Shoes, is stepping into the newly created VP of marketing position on Monday. She will report to Rocket Dog CEO Cathy Taylor.
“[Dresser’s] vast marketing background and expertise in juniors’ is a perfect match for Rocket Dog,” Taylor said in a release. “This addition continues to strengthen our team and support strategic initiatives with our customers.”
Dresser will be responsible for developing Rocket Dog’s marketing programs, working with customers on co-op marketing and collaborating with the company’s product line management team in positioning seasonal launches. She also will oversee public relations and manage e-commerce for the California-based firm.
The appointment is the latest change in upper management at Rocket Dog, including the recent promotion of Taylor to CEO from consultant.
