Nautica Apparel Inc. has signed a new licensing deal for men’s and kids’ footwear.
The brand — a subsidiary of VF Sportswear Inc, which is a division of Greensboro, N.C.-based VF Corp. — said it has entered into an agreement with New York-based E.S. Originals Inc. to manufacture and distribute men’s and children’s footwear starting in spring 2011. Both collections will be available at department stores and specialty retailers.
“We are pleased to have E.S. Originals, Inc. as our new license for footwear,” said Maria Vicari, Nautica’s president of global licensing, in a statement. “We look forward to working together to build this important category within our global lifestyle brand offering.”
“We are proud to join together with Nautica to launch men’s and children’s footwear collections, which can be best described as refined casual classics that are crisp, clean and distinct,” added Ronald Tawil, managing director and president of E.S. Original’s Nautica footwear division. “We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”
