Dansko is rolling out a new line of socks this fall. The collection features bright colors and patterns in addition to temperature control, arch support, and padding at the heel and ball of the foot. The socks are made of Coolmax Ecomade fiber, a material that is absorbent and durable. The socks will be sold for $14 to $23 at a variety of independent retailers as well as Zappos.com and Onlineshoes.com.
Thorlo is gearing up for the holidays with the launch of Experia Coolmax “Taste of Chocolate-Have Another Bite!” The brand is combining turquoise, orchid and cherry red with a chocolate hue for a seasonal line, delivering on Oct. 15. Navy, purple and blue will be added Feb. 1. The socks retail for $14 and will be sold at specialty running retailers and major sporting good retailers.
Swiss e-tailer Blacksocks.com is expanding its sock delivery concept to include colors such as navy, red and grey. The new colors are available in calf length and in materials such as cotton, pima cotton, mercerized cotton, wool and cashmere. Since launching in 1999, Blacksocks has sold more than a million pairs in black. Managing Director Samy Liechti said the new colors are meant to go with men’s informal footwear, such as loafers or sneakers. A basic “sockscription” retails for $89, with a trial pair available for $10, and can be found at Blacksocks.com.

Meant to be worn both indoors and outdoors, Gypsyz is made with eco-friendly, sustainable products and features biodegradable soles and knit wool. Available for men and women in a variety of colors and two lengths (mid calf and over the knee), the line will retail for $99 to $121 on Gypsy05.com.
