Costa Blanca X is launching a new wholesale collection for its holiday ’09 line. Designed in Los Angeles, the collection includes women’s boots, flats and heels, all made from synthetic materials. Manufactured in China, the 175-style line will be targeted to juniors and older. Set to retail from $25 to $59, the collection will be available at Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and selected boutiques.
Red All Over
Red Tape is bringing its women’s collection to the U.S. for spring ’10. The brand, known for its men’s leather shoes, has already had a women’s presence in India and will now seek wider distribution for its selection of sandals, flats, wedges, heels and boots. Much like the men’s shoes, the line will be targeted toward a youthful, fashionable customer. Set to retail for $58 to $89, the line will be distributed to the same stores that already carry the men’s collection, as well as better boutiques.
Partners Yosi Samra and Jacques Messeca have created Mea Shadow, a new shoe line to be unveiled for spring ’10. The collection takes inspiration from the artwork of Gustav Klimt, with a color scheme of fuchsia, gray, black and nude. Mea Shadow will be made up of heels, booties, thongs, platforms and ballet flats, some with lingerie-inspired laser-cut detailing. The construction features Brazilian leather and padding targeted toward “the New York woman.” Set to retail for $110 to $305, the line will be available at specialty boutiques and department stores. Delivery starts in February.
