Luxury brand Jimmy Choo is making good on its goal to stake out a bigger presence in Asia.
This week, the London-based women’s footwear company signed a joint venture with Bluebell Far East Group, which markets high-end fashion and accessory products across Asia, as part of its international expansion plans.
Jimmy Choo is seeking to grow its network of freestanding stores in the region, and as part of the partnership, is set to unveil a 1,000-sq.-ft. flagship store on the ground floor of The Landmark in Hong Kong in October.
The plans for the new stores comes on the heels of two other Hong Kong openings, including the December 2008 unveiling of the Jimmy Choo shop at Elements in Kowloon and the March 2009 debut of the brand’s first airport location at the Hong Kong International Airport.
The three new locations will triple Jimmy Choo’s presence in the region.
