Firms Announce Footwear Hires

Several footwear companies announced key personnel changes in recent weeks.

Blondo, based in Quebec City, tapped Daniel Champagne as its U.S. sales manager. Champagne previously held positions at Veolia, Videotron and Maple Leaf Shoes.

Emu Australia of San Clemente, Calif., named Liz Hall as its VP of footwear sales for North America. Hall previously served as the better and designer shoe buyer for Bon-Ton department stores. She has also worked for Easy Spirit, Federated department stores and Bellini.

Harbor Footwear, based in Port Washington, N.Y., appointed Jim Tangeman as its VP of merchandising. Tangeman has held positions at retailers DSW and at Chernin’s Shoe Outlet.

Jones Apparel Group Inc. elected Robert Mettler and Margaret Georgiadis to its board of directors. Mettler most recently served as president for special projects at Macy’s. Prior to that he was president, CEO and chairman of Macy’s West. Georgiadis is a principal of Synetro Capital LLC and recently served as EVP of card products and chief marketing officer at Discover Financial Services.
