NEW YORK — Soles4Souls and Shoe Carnival Inc. are launching a trade-in shoe fundraising initiative across all 300 Shoe Carnival locations, the charity organization announced on Monday.
From Sept. 3-24, Shoe Carnival shoppers who donate a gently worn pair of shoes at the store will receive a $5 coupon. Shoppers can also donate $2 to the initiative.
“We are thrilled to partner with Shoe Carnival again,” Soles4Souls CEO and founder Wayne Elsey said in a statement. “Not only do the shoes donated by their customers make a huge impact on the lives of thousands of people in desperate need, but the funds, raised through the $2 donation program, will buy new shoes for someone who has never owned a pair of shoes.”
Todd Beurman, SVP of marketing for Shoe Carnival, said, “This partnership is a strong fit for our company and one that we think our Shoe Carnival customers will embrace. The funds raised and shoes donated in our stores will make a meaningful impact on the lives of people in need around the world.”
