NEW YORK — APLF Ltd. announced Wednesday a new trade fair initiative will debut in India in spring 2009.
The Hong Kong-based company, which organizes Fashion Access and the All-China Leather Exhibition, said the new fair will allow Indian and foreign manufacturers to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the manufacture of footwear, from the drawing board to the finished product.
It will also create a bridge between the footwear manufacturers and component producers targeting the Indian footwear market, which is encountering a growth of 9 to 10 percent per annum.
The trade fair will be organized in association with the Indian Footwear Components Manufacturers Association, the only trade association of components manufacturers in India.
Seminars are being planned by organizers to further expand the trade fair, which will be managed by CMP India, one of the largest privately owned trade fair organizers in the country.
