D. Myers & Sons Taps Director

NEW YORK — D. Myers & Sons Inc. has named Ronn Miller director of its new first-cost division. Miller will leave his post as EVP for Gloria International Inc. to accept the newly created position at the Baltimore-based women’s footwear importer and distributor.

D. Myers & Sons President James Ries said he hopes Miller can take this new factory-cost, large-volume division from “zero to 100.”

Miller’s previous experience includes working in sales and operations for Bellini Imports, G.H. Bass, Wolverine World Wide, Fratelli Rossetti, Juan Jose Garcia and Amasia International. He also owned and operated a chain of shoe stores in Pennsylvania.

“Ronn knows all the players in the volume women’s shoe business throughout the country, and he has aggressive and innovative plans to establish D. Myers & Sons as a leader in the first-cost women’s shoe business,” said Ries in a Wednesday statement. “We are pleased to welcome Ronn to the D. Myers family. He is a true professional, a real team player, and we are happy to have him on board.”
