AAFA Names New Board Members

NEW YORK — The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) announced Monday two new members appointed to its board of directors.

President and COO of New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc., Jim Tompkins, has been appointed to the board and AAFA executive committee, taking over the three-year term from outgoing president, John Larsen. Additionally, Michael McBreen, president of global operations for Wolverine World Wide Inc., will join the board and fulfill the remaining term for former president of global operations, Art Croci, who retired earlier this year.

“Over the years, John and Art have provided steady guidance and invaluable counsel to me and everyone at AAFA,” said Kevin Burke, president and CEO of AAFA, in a statement. “I wish them both well in their future activities and look forward to working closely with Jim and Michael.”
