“It’s like old shoes from your grandmother — mixed with bits of earrings, necklaces and broken chains,” said creative director Johnny Coca.
The label has formed the new company Mulberry (Asia) Ltd. with its majority owner, Challice Ltd., starting with four stores in the region and a Chinese-language site.
The heels were also reworked into both a boot and a pump, but kept their angular shape.
For fall ’16, taking the path less traveled took on literal meaning with fashionable takes on traversing, skiing and trekking styles.
Platform heels and flatform oxfords included gold buckling and orange and yellow jumbo lacing.
