At the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, Kanye West announced his plan to run for U.S. president in 2020.

Following the election of real estate businessman and former reality television star Donald Trump on Tuesday, West’s promise seems more real to many. Fans of the rapper and designer have taken to social media to call on West to keep his word and really run for the nation’s highest office — the hashtag #Kanye2020 began to trend on Twitter on Wednesday. Could a Yeezy Boost-wearing president be possible? An illustration of West wearing an Adidas brand suit in the Oval Office has already been widely circulated.
