Brazilian bombshell Gisele Bundchen rocked the perfect statement shoe when she strutted down the runway at the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
The supermodel represented her country on Friday wearing native Brazilian shoe designer Alexandre Birman’s new heels that his luxury label created especially for the occasion.
The custom silver python sandal is be the newest addition to the collection, to be available soon at select retailers.
Of course, for such an iconic moment, the brand’s forthcoming shoe style deserves an iconic name — “Gisele,” which is emblazoned in script on the insole.
Taking to Instagram, Bundchen said she was delighted to take part in such a “special moment” for her country.
“Everyone involved worked with dedication and passion to create a show that gave the world a glimpse of our history and Brazil’s essence,” she wrote. “It was beautifully presented. Our Brazilian community is hard-working, cheerful and welcoming. I believe that we showed the world the beauty of our diversity.”
The Alexandre Birman label’s Instagram page added that the model made a “gorgeous” presentation of the new shoe at the ceremony.
Bundchen complemented the footwear with a glittering Alexandre Herchcovitch gown.
