Set to go on sale just before the start of the games in Rio de Janerio on Aug. 5, the single style is available in two colorways and retails from $79.99 to $119.99. In addition, each pair comes with a free logo keychain.
To promote the brand at the games, an onsite photographer will be sporting the shoes, as well as sharing images on Twisted X social media sites straight from Brazil. Twisted X is also giving away free T-shirts and logo pins at the games. “When we realized we’d have the opportunity to have someone onsite in Rio, we really wanted to get behind it and make some bright, colorful styles,” said CEO Prasad Reddy.
In addition to the shoes, Twisted X is rolling out the promotion stateside within retail locations with gift-with-purchase logo keychains, promotional push pins as well as outfitting retail associates in its T-shirts.
“We’ve had a lot of success with similar programs around our charitable causes like Tough Enough To Wear Pink and VFW collections,” said Amber Vanwy, director of marketing.
“We wanted to make this just as festive and exciting for our retailers and their associates. Not only do they love handing out fun items and wearing the colorful T-shirts, we’ve found that they enjoy sharing their own social media channels as well.”
