The future is coming a lot sooner than any of us expected, as Nike released details to buy its self-lacing Mag sneakers from “Back to the Future Part II” yesterday, turning its fictional self-lacing technology nearly 30 years after the movie’s debut into a reality. With Nike’s announcement it’s easy to see why social media — specifically Twitter and Instagram — was instantly driven into a frenzy.
As epic as the Twitter reactions were, some of the best content people shared appeared on Instagram. We’ve rounded up some of the best Mag-related Instagrams so far, with posts including detailed sketches and drawings and a shot of Footwear News cover star Fabolous wearing the sneakers in his 2015 music video for “You Made Me.”
The Nike Mag will be released exclusively through Nike’s The Draw raffle system. Only 89 pairs have been produced, with 84 of them set to be raffled while the remaining five are destined for the auction block. Click here to enter the raffle and find our more details.
