Running and marshmallows aren’t two things you typically pair, but performance-running standout Hoka One One managed to comfortably put them together in a new promotional video.
In an effort to promote its Clifton 3 shoe, the brand known for producing sneakers with oversized soles released a video online starring Mallowman, a giant running marshmallow. Mallowman, according to Hoka One One, was created to show avid runners that going bigger is better.
The video shows Mallowman — sporting blue Hoka One One wristbands and a headband — running in a number of settings, including a neighborhood, a business district, a trail and more, sprinting past children, runners, shoppers and people walking dogs.
The Clifton 3, a road shoe available in sizing for men and women, retails for $130. The ultra-plush neutral running shoe features the brand’s no-sew SpeedFrame construction, an early stage meta-rocker, and a 5-millimeter offset. For men, the shoe weighs 8.6 ounces based off a size 9 shoe, and 7.4 ounces based on a women’s size 7 shoe.
The shoe is available in five colorways for men and five for women.
Hoka One One previewed its Arahi shoe at the 2016 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City during the first week of August. The stability road shoe boasts an early stage meta-rocker, weighs in at 9.3 ounces, and is the first shoe to feature the brand’s new J Frame construction. The shoe will retail for $130.
