While footwear junkies wait for the first sneaker release from his Project Rock collection with Under Armour, the fitness-obsessed celebrity — who turned 44 today — unveiled the Rock Clock, a mobile app and motivational alarm clock available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store that, according to a statement, was “designed to encourage people to chase greatness and fulfill their goals, no matter how big or small.”
The clock has several functions sure to please his fans, but one in particular that it has — or doesn’t have — is sure to get people up and out of bed as soon as it sounds off: The clock does not have a snooze button. The reason? Because Johnson doesn’t believe life has a snooze button, so the Rock Clock shouldn’t have one, either.
The Rock Clock also offers users the option to wake up on “Rock Time,” which will have you synched up to Johnson’s schedule, so when he wakes up you wake up as well.
The clock allows its users to set a personal goal including a completion date and to set a morning alarm featuring 25 alarm tones that were selected by Johnson. It also offers users the ability to wake up to motivational videos and messages that Johnson sends from his phone daily to remind its users of their goal and inspiring them to achieve it.
“When millions of you shared your goals with me, it inspired an idea to create something to encourage you all to chase greatness. Pulling the best resources, we were able to make it happen,” Johnson said in a statement. “Our goals don’t accomplish themselves, and now you can get after them with the help of the Rock Clock.”
But for the sneaker enthusiast waiting to wear a pair of The Rock’s kicks, you could always grab what he wears when he’s in the gym. One of his recent selections for back day was the Under Armour Fireshot basketball sneaker.
