“Best day ever!!” the athlete captioned a photo with infant son Kellan on Instagram.
It’s Froome’s second consecutive title, making him the first Brit to win the Tour de France three times (2013, 2015 and 2016).
Froome was not hard to miss thundering past the finish line of the 21-stage race in his bright-yellow outfit and matching Sidi Shot cycling shoes, which were customized in the color especially for the occasion.
In a statement, the label said Froome’s victory marked “number 13 at the Tour de France to the portfolio of Sidi’s great history.”
“There could have been no better baptism for the new Sidi SHOT, the cycling shoe from the Sidi collection that made its official debut on Froome’s feet at the Criterium du Dauphine, which he won as well,” the statement read. “These new shoes also accompanied Froome in his triumphant ride here at the Tour de France. To celebrate the Tour, the Sidi Shot was tinted in yellow to better match Chris Froome’s leader jersey.”
The footwear is designed with innovative safety features, including two reflectors on the side and one in the center to add visibility in dark conditions, and glow-in-the-dark technology.
Sidi shoes are available at select stores worldwide.
