The new project comes about 50 years after the sneakers were created in Bata’s Maryland factory. The rerelease maintains the sneaker line’s classic silhouettes and brand image while matching today’s industry standards.
The unisex range includes high- and low-top styles with rubber soles in either canvas or leather. Colors include white, black and navy blue.
The global relaunch follows last year’s special Bata Tennis x Peanuts collection, released ahead of the family feature film “The Peanuts Movie.”
Earlier this year, Bata appointed its new CEO, Alexis Nasard, a former Heineken executive. With a presence in at least 70 countries, Bata operates more than 24 production facilities and 5,000 retail stores.
The Bata Bullets collection will be available at Colette in Paris, 1300k & Around the Corner in Seoul, Actually & Emporium of Modern Man in Singapore, WISM in Tokyo and Sense 30 in Taipei. A range of the sneakers will also be available exclusively online.
