Adidas have released multiple court-ready basketball sneakers since the 2015-16 NBA season came to an end. Those releases — with a celebrated shoe worn by Damian Lillard last season — received color updates for the brand’s upcoming 2016 Adidas Nations Collection.
This line, according to the brand, takes inspiration from the California coast and is designed for players worldwide that are participating in Adidas Nations, the brand’s renowned U19 international basketball camp that takes place this weekend (July 29 to Aug. 1).
The Crazy Explosive — retailing for $150 — features a turquoise and black Primeknit upper with an icy translucent outsole. It also boasts orange accents and a mosaic-printed internal bootie, representative of all the nations’ flags that will have athletes present at the tournament.
The D Rose 7, the latest signature shoe of New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose, will retail for $140. The shoe boasts a turquoise mesh upper with a white outsole. It also employs gold branding and mosaic prints along the tongue and collar.
Damian Lillard’s latest signature shoe, the D Lillard 2, retails for $120. The shoe uses a white color palette with matte black and gold accents. Adidas mosaic print is featured on the heel and Techfit bootie.
The collection’s Crazylight Boost 2016 — which retails for $120 — is executed with a turquoise jacquard upper with black and orange, completed with gold Adidas branding and a mosaic print on the heel.
