Aldo Executives And Employees Participate In The Race Across America

Aldo is riding for a cause. The Montreal-based brand formed a powerful team for the Race Across America (RAAM), a 3,000-mile bike race.

The group started June 18 and is expected to finish by this Saturday.

“The Aldo Group has participated in the Ride to Conquer Cancer for the past five years, and a group of us wanted to reach higher to see what we could accomplish,” said Nicholas Martire, VP of Aldo Group North America. “We were crazy enough to say yes.”

Before he took off, Matire talked to FN about what he was looking forward to. “The camaraderie and seeing what the team and crew can accomplish and also the physical and emotional experience of racing across the U.S.,” he said. “The finish will be sweet, but I’m really looking forward to the journey of each day and racing with 500 other like-minded people.”

As a group, Aldo is raising money in partnership with the Two Ten Footwear Foundation. “We were inspired by Two Ten’s leadership in our industry,” added Martire. “We are raising awareness for Two Ten and launching a new Cancer Relief Fund as the disease affects every one one of us in some way.”
