Amy Schumer Takes Off Shoes To Accept Critics’ Choice Award

At the Critics’ Choice Awards tonight, Amy Schumer won “Best Actress in a Comedy” for her role in the movie “Trainwreck.” In true Schumer fashion, she didn’t give just any speech when she took to the stage. But before she could get to her comedic quips, Schumer took off one of her Manolo Blahnik Chaos chain ankle-strap sandals and handed it to fellow actress Tracee Ellis Ross in the audience.

“Tracee, will you marry me?” Schumer joked as she handed the shoe to Ross.

Schumer was also honored with the “Critics’ Choice MVP Award.” At the Golden Globe Awards last week, Schumer wore head-to-toe Prabal Gurung. For the Critics’ Choice, Schumer opted for a simple white gown, which concealed her heels until her on-stage moment.

Schumer then carried her second shoe off the stage with her.
