The shoes: Seductive spins on the fashion plate’s beloved menswear meant plenty of spectators and cutout loafers this season. But there were plenty of stilettos that were modeled by doppelgänger Caroline Vreeland, in revealing campaign imagery again shot by Olivier Zahm. Other standouts included a new arch-revealing pump, done in velvet and dark chocolate croc.
The verdict: For a brand determined to be better known for it’s women’s offering than it’s dapper mens shoes, choosing an icon of androgynous style was an interesting move. Luckily, this version of Dietrich 2.0 was a voluptuous character equally at home in loafers or spike heels – and little else.
