The longtime designer really played up the high-tech elements of this year’s theme, Manus X Machina: Fashion In An Age of Technology, drawing an Instagram-themed shoe and even a drone style. Take a look at his four different designs below.
Sketch 1: “For those at the Ball who cannot wait to tell their friends what’s happening: the perfect Instagram shoe.”
Sketch 2: “This is fabulous music for dancing feet at the Met Ball.”
Sketch 3: “My drone shoe can get you to the Met Ball in the flash. It’s taken ladies where they never thought they would go.”
Sketch 4: “This shoe is the perfect way to approach that guy/girl across the dance floor at the Met.”
Last year, Rose Byrne wore Weitzman’s red satin nudists for the big night. All eyes will be on the red carpet later this evening when we will see which celebs choose Weitzman this year.
