Lagerfeld, who designs for luxury fashion houses Chanel and Fendi, partnered with GIII Apparel Group to produce the collection, which includes apparel, shoes, accessories and bags. Major retailers Lord & Taylor and Dillard’s are carrying the collection in the U.S., while Hudson’s Bay and Liverpool will carry it in Canada and Mexico, respectively. The shoe collection includes boots, sandals, mules, flats and pumps, all designed in Lagerfeld’s put-together yet edgy aesthetic. Prices range from $99-$229.
In addition, the brand is launching its fall ’16 ad campaign to coincide with the North American launch. The campaign stars models Joan Smalls and Hailey Baldwin and is set to appear in top fashion and lifestyle titles and on social channels beginning Sept. 7.
The campaign, titled “Love from Paris, Karl xx,” shows the models in front of both Paris and New York landmarks. Lagerfeld, who photographed the campaign himself as he often does, said, “For a designer, it’s great to work with the girls of the moment, because clothes express our times but girls do, too.”
