The shoes: Cutout Mary Janes, ’70s style buttoned boots on a block heel (done cropped or over the knee) and floral printed ladder-strap pumps were the key shapes for designer Theresa Ebagua this season. While the exact connection to her North African references was not always crystal clear, the styles were appealing and wearable.
Ebagua recently secured a new factory and her quality appeared to have improved as a result. Which is good news considering her shoes are often favored by perma-photographed people such as Kendall Jenner and Beyoncé.
The verdict: With a few strong styles, Ebagua continues to make strides, but must make her seasonal direction more unified in order for the collection to really take off.
