Rihanna is giving us some major style inspiration this week. The singer stepped out over the weekend in New York wearing the statement denim chap boots from her upcoming collaboration with Manolo Blahnik.
She paired the boots with mini shorts and a T-shirt depicting the late Princess Diana. Rihanna wore the boots in the April issue of British Vogue, but this is the first time she’s worn them out in public.
On her Anti World Tour, Rihanna has been wearing a pair of custom beige chap boots by Giuseppe Zanotti, as well as a lace-up style by Blahnik.
The beaded embroidery on the top of the denim boots is inspired by Rihanna’s tattoos on her hands. The collection will be released on May 5 in Manolo Blahnik stores in New York, London and Hong Kong.
At her runway show for Puma in February, Rihanna told FN, “I enjoy everything about Manolo. He is such an incredible human being. He’s so fun to work with, and I was blessed with the opportunity to see him create from scratch. He’s so passionate about what he does and it makes it so worth it when you buy or wear a pair of his shoes because you know what went into it.”
Over the weekend, Rihanna wore a head-to-toe Miu Miu ensemble for the Black Girls Rock event in Newark, N.J. She’s also recently been spotted in shoes by Dior and Céline.
