The wife of the Republican presidential nominee stepped out wearing her go-to shoe brand on Sunday at the second presidential debate, held at Washington University in St. Louis. She rocked a hot-pink Gucci blouse and completed the look with a pair of sky-high white Christian Louboutin So Kate heels.
Of course, before she honed her shoe style, she had some playful moments in the past, including a pink satin shoe that matched her crinoline dress in 2003 at the season opening of the American Ballet Theatre. For the MTV Video Music Awards that same year, she complemented her rhinestone fringe dress with bejeweled sandals.
Nowadays, the former model and mother to Barron, one of Donald Trump’s five children, prefers Louboutin’s pumps that feature soaring stiletto heels for her red carpet appearances.
Melania also favors matching the colors and design treatments of her shoes to her dresses, accessories and bags.
She turned to Louboutin again for one of her most high-profile appearances for Donald in July, when she delivered a speech at the Republican National Convention clad in nude patent leather pumps.
While on the campaign trail for the GOP nominee in Iowa in January, she opted for a seasonal-appropriate pair of taupe boots that complemented the muted colors in her cream-hued coat and pale pink purse. At another political event in the state, she donned red from head to toe.
Melania cut a chic figure in all-white in January 2015 for the Trump Invitational Grand Prix at her real estate mogul husband’s Club Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla. She donned a lace dress and complemented the number with an exotic skin pump. Similarly, in February at the 40th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live,” she rocked a head-to-toe white ensemble. Louboutin was her brand for both occasions.
Another apt style choice was teaming her black ruffled crop blazer with a pair of black Louboutin So Kate Python pumps at the 2013 Avenue Antiques, Art & Design Show opening night soiree in New York City.
She’s also a fan of Louboutin’s multi-color pythons, glossy platforms, and glitter pumps.
Some other labels in her closet include Manolo Blahnik and Tom Ford.
