Tennis star Serena Williams hit the red carpet on Tuesday night in New York City for the premiere of her upcoming documentary. Williams swapped her Nike kicks for nude strappy sandals paired with a gold, high-slit dress for the occasion. “Serena,” which will premiere on Epix on June 22, gives fans an up-close look at Williams’ life as an athlete, businesswoman and designer.

The fashion industry showed its full support for the No. 1 ranked tennis player. Anna Wintour made an appearance at the premiere in a floral dress and signature sunglasses. This isn’t the first time Wintour has shown her admiration for Williams. The Vogue editor-in-chief was spotted sitting front row during Williams’ New York Fashion Week show for her HSN Signature Statement collection in September.

On Tuesday, Karlie Kloss also attended the premiere of “Serena.” The model opted for a striped Prabal Gurung dress and a pair of velvet Tabitha Simmons Hermione flats.

Earlier this month, Williams lost her defending French Open title to Spain’s Garbing Muguruza, who won the first grand slam of her career at the Roland Garros stadium in Paris.

Williams opted for a special pair of her signature NikeCourt Flare sneakers detailed with a rose print throughout the tournament.
