Canada-born DJ and entrepreneur Brendan Fallis recently talked to FN about his go-to shoe styles and rare sneakers.

Pairs owned: 56

Favorite shoe brands: Common Projects, Adidas, Converse, Nike, Del Toro, Christian Louboutin.”

Closet organization: “I have built-in shoe shelves, which I organize by dress shoes, casual shoes and running shoes. I then color-categorize them within those categories.”

Trustiest styles: “Either low-top Common Projects sneakers or the Adidas Ultra Boost.”

Biggest shoe regret: “Wearing brand-new white shoes out at night and then seeing them trampled the next morning.”

Oldest pair: “I’m not one to keep old shoes around, but I have a pair of Salvatore Ferragamo shoes that are pretty beat up — and only getting better. They’re about 12 years old now, but I purchased them vintage.”

Most expensive: “A pair of Louboutins.”

Unique: “I have a pair of J&D Collective Triple White Adidas Ultra Boosts, which I believe are pretty rare.”

Favorite stores: “Kith is my go-to.”

Favorite collaboration sneakers: “Adidas x Sole Collector Ultra Boost Uncaged.”

Style I would never wear: “I’m not a cowboy boot type of guy.”

Shoe I dream of owning: “I like to make my dreams a reality.”

Ideal look: “Things with the clean structural design, which reminds me of a well-designed car.”

Runway influence: “I don’t follow runway trends. I look at them for inspiration, but oftentimes, runway shows are trying to be overly artistic and make a statement, which is not wearable every day. I wear things that are more conservative and classic, yet on trend.”

Best for work: “I don’t have a go-to style while I’m DJ-ing. It depends on the gig I’m doing. If it’s a nightlife gig, I often find myself wearing different iterations of an all-black outfit l wear with a pair of sneakers. If it’s very high-end, a well-fitting suit is always my go-to, which will typically be paired with dress shoes.”

Classy picks: “I’m a big fan of Louboutin and Ferragamo. Those are probably the shoes I own the most pairs of. I also have some Gucci loafers that I love a lot. I look for things that are very clean, not too much detail and not too many stitch lines. I know that seems weird to say with Louboutin — but they have great silhouettes.”
