Shopping the footwear market is about to get easier for today’s time-strapped retailers. A click of the mouse from their favorite chair can connect them with wholesalers based just about anywhere.
A new industry buying website — eBrandLink.com — will launch at FN Platform on Aug. 15. The site aims to provide footwear brands, sales agents and retailers with a simple and efficient way to connect.
The site enables buyers to be kept up to date on available merchandise from brands that have signed up through an annual subscription. Users can discover and review manufacturers’ products, retailer information and sales agents’ profiles by browsing and searching by brand name or keyword. Seasonal catalogs, business forms, marketing and key contact information are also fully accessible on the platform via desktop and mobile devices.
Retailers can connect with wholesalers and sales agents by uploading their own business profile, which can include the type of merchandise carried, price points and store locations.
The site was developed by industry veterans Tony Mesagna and Gary Eckert. According to Eckert, while vendors and sales agents pay an annual subscription fee, the retail community can access the site free of charge.
