Schutz, which has seen solid success with its New York location on Madison Avenue, is heading west at a time when demand is strong for the brand.
“We have an established presence on the East Coast with our NYC store delivering great results,” said founder and CEO Alexandre Birman. “Our online sales showed was that we also have a strong customer base on the west coast as well, which is why we decided it was time to launch our business in the biggest market for us: California. After extensive research, it became clear to us that Beverly Drive was an ideal location for its wonderful mix of locals and visitors coming by car and on foot to shop.”
The new brick-and-mortar location was designed by architect Bel Lobo. It features more than 2,800 square feet of space that will stock Schutz’s core and seasonal footwear collections. Tech features will also be front and center, and the store will feature a high definition video wall with original content, backlit mirror panels and custom box shelving.
Part of the space will house a “pump shop, which features an assortment of party heels. The store will also feature a VIP room for big names who want to shop there.
To spread brand awareness, Schutz has been operating a Los Angeles pop, located at The Grove. It will be opened through April 7.
