Brand insiders said the concept is “gleaming lightness.” The 1,200-sq.-ft. space, created by Milan-based architect Patricia Urquiola, has large windows that allow natural light to highlight the fixtures and bespoke furniture inside. The boutique will showcase the label’s spring ’17 collection, including the exclusive Palladium strappy sandal.
“It’s an important step for us,” Rossi told FN. “Miami is different from other cities. It has [a vacation vibe] and is more of a holiday destination.”
The shop will also feature a nude-colored velvet couch and screen-shaped shoe displays in the front windows. The armchairs are pale pink leather, by Italian furniture brand Moroso.
The opening marks the label’s second U.S. store, following the New York opening in July 2015, and No. 6 in total. The brand also has stores in Milan, Paris, Hong Kong and London.
