The lifestyle brand opened doors today at its newest flagship that takes inspiration in a residential-like experience for customers at luxury shopping center South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif.
The 2,500-square-foot space is the first West Coast location to open under the label’s new design concept that presents its footwear, outerwear, jewelry, handbags, sunglasses and more wares in way that aims to optimize performance on the sales floor.
“We are delighted to bring the Cole Haan retail experience to one of California’s most acclaimed shopping locations,” Cole Haan CEO Jack Boys said in a statement. “As shopping continues to evolve, we’re excited to be at the forefront of redefining the consumer experience.”
Cole Haan debuted the makeover in June at Dallas’ NorthPark Center, followed by an August opening at Westfield World Trade Center in New York.
Previously tested at its international locations, the new store design is dedicated to the label’s most innovative products in three categories: grand in the front, casual in the center, and dress in the back.
The design incorporates a neutral color palette and a large-scale marble mosaic pattern in the front foyer, traditional and modern décor, and custom lighting that calls attention to merchandise for male and female customers.
To celebrate the opening, the location will partner with the United Cerebral Palsy charity for an in-store event on Nov. 10, with 10 percent of the proceeds from the event benefitting the cause.
In the fall, the brand launched its GrandRevølution collection, which will also be available at the South Coast Plaza store. The range reimagines the dress shoe for men and women, and featuring lightweight materials and laser-cut perforations for breathability. The women’s Antoinette pump and men’s Washington Grand Laser wingtip oxford both retail for $400 online.
