LeBron James has just added another jewel to his crowning achievements. On Monday night, James became the youngest player in NBA history to score 25,000 points. James scored 22 points in Monday’s game, putting him at exactly 25,001 points.
James is the 20th player in history to hit this milestone, including greats Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Dirk Nowitzki and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who tops the list with more than 38,000 points.
The NikeiD Lebron 13 25K features graphics inspired by James’ career. Carnations and orange blossoms are the state flowers of Ohio and Florida, respectively — the two states in which James has played. Other Ohio references include a dolomite stone and smoke to symbolize the state’s industrial spirit. There’s also a lion representing victory and light bands to reference the positive energy James has received from his family, friends and teammates.
The midsole, outsole, tongue and Nike Swoosh are customizable and available for a limited time on Nike.com, retailing for $250.
James’ achievement comes in his 13th season, his second back with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade is also celebrating his 13th season with his WoW 4.0 Lucky 13 sneakers, made by Beijing-based athletic brand Li Ning.
