An effort to craft a distinguished, fashionable and comfortable shoe, the Oyster utilizes the brand’s classic ’90s running silhouette, the Fusion, and is inspired by the upscale oyster leather frequently used in luxury cars. To give the shoe a handmade feel, its upper boasts premium micro-perforated oyster leather and nubuck, with black stitching throughout and white eyelets near the lining. The shoe comes with two sets of leather laces – black and neutral — plus a leather interior and white outsole.
Only 99 pairs of the collaboration were produced, and each pair is individually numbered on the shoe’s insole.
The Oyster will be available at Bait’s five locations and the retailer’s website on June 6. The sneaker will have a $160 price tag, and those interested must enter an online raffle for a chance to purchase the sneaker collab.
Bait released a pair of collaborations with running brand Asics in April, both on the Gel Lyte V silhouette — the Splash City, an homage to the Golden State Warriors, and the Misfits, paying tribute to the 2010 World Series-winning San Fransisco Giants team.
