Justin Bieber Posts Facebook Apology Video, Visits ‘The Ellen Show’

UPDATE: Justin Bieber made another appearance on “The Ellen Show,” to explain his apology video he posted on Facebook last week and why he was nervous to appear on the talk-show.

“Well it was the first time I was on television for a long time, and I just was worried about what people were thinking about me. Like I said last time, I did a lot of things over the past few years that I’m not proud of. But I was just nervous to be in front on people again,” he told Ellen.

After last week’s appearance, Bieber went home and posted the apology video. He said his reasoning behind the apology was to explain himself and why he was so nervous on the show.

Justin Bieber has had quite a year, and now the singer is apologizing for his antics via a Facebook video.

“I’m not who I was pretending to be. Why I say I was pretending is often we pretend to be something we’re not as a cover up of what we’re truly feeling inside. And there were a lot of feelings going on in there. Just being young and growing up in this business is hard. Just growing up in general is hard,” he said in the video on Wednesday night.

Bieber also made his first television appearance in months on “Ellen” as a surprise for her birthday. The “Baby” singer brought Degeneres flowers and Calvin Klein underwear for her birthday, while he sported a new hair style and tan combat-inspired boots for the appearance.

“I’ve done some things that probably weren’t the greatest,” he told Degeneres. The talk-show host responded in her signature deadpan: “Really? Nothing comes to mind — I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

After his visit to the talk show, Bieber posted the apology video, saying, “Today, I was on Ellen, and it was a lot of fun. She’s amazing. It was her birthday, but I was really nervous. I think I was nervous because I was afraid of what people are thinking about me right now.”

He continued: “It’s been a minute since I’ve been in a public appearance, and I didn’t want to come off arrogant or conceited or basically how I’ve been acting the past year and a half.”

Bieber told Degeneres that he wants to be able to laugh at himself and move on from his mistakes, which is why he pushed for his own Comedy Central Roast. See the singer’s apology here, and see some of Bieber’s worst shoe looks over the years in our gallery.
