Another day, another Kanye West headline. But this time, the buzz is less controversial and more heartwarming.

The artist premiered a clip on “The Ellen Show” yesterday for his ballad about daughter North, called “Only One.” The song, in collaboration with Paul McCartney, is heartfelt and tame, with a video to match. Picture a rainy location and weather-ready boots to go with it — in big and small sizes. The spot shows father and daughter walking in a field, when North stops to point and gaze at her dad’s boots.

While the video appears simplistic in nature, the talent behind it is anything but. The spot was directed by Spike Jones and features McCartney playing keyboard. And while it seems to be just a father-and-daughter moment, maybe Kim Kardashian will appear in the final cut?

Earlier this week, the rapper dropped his single “FourFiveSeconds,” featuring McCartney and Rihanna. Talk about a power trio.

Kanye and Kim have also made headlines recently thanks to news that they are considering having another baby. So in the future, North might not be the only video star.

On Air with Ryan Seacrest
In a recent interview with Ryan Seacrest, Kardashian talked about her upcoming “Selfie” Super Bowl spot and explained how — and where — West finds time to be creative at home.

“I really do hear [his work] as it’s happening,” she told Seacrest. “Sometimes, he’ll be in the shower and he’ll think of an idea. Or when we’re just getting ready, he’ll be rapping to himself or singing.”

FN is looking forward to seeing what other footwear moments pop up in the rapper’s videos to come. Maybe some sneaker spots or some love for Giuseppe Zanotti? Bring it, West.
