Women On Top: Standout Shoes By Female Footwear Designers

There have never been as many successful female-fronted footwear labels.

“With that top of mind – and hairdo – we wanted to showcase the designs of true women in power,” said FN’s fashion director Mosha Lundström Halbert, who cast an all-girl crew for this fashion shoot, from photographer Leslie Kirchhoff to the hair and makeup team.

Models Grace Cheng (Wilhelmina) and Lily Lightbourn (Trump) saw their ever-changing, sculptural coifs (courtesy of Deycke Heidron) get artfully adorned with shoes from the likes of Sophia Webster, Laurence Dacade, Charlotte Olympia, Alessandra Lanvin’s Aperlaï, Isa Tapia, Aurora James’s Brother Vellies, Giorgia Caovilla’s O’Jour, Chloe Gosselin, Ruthie Davis, Valentina Carrano, Meandher’s Emily Cooper, Theresa Ebagua’s Chelsea Paris, and Sarah Flint, to name a few.
