The number of shoes in Natalia Barbieri’s closet may shock you — the co-founder of Bionda Castana says she likes to keep her collection tight.
FN caught up with the designer at her resort ’16 preview, where she showcased a mix of pastel hues, rhinestone details, pearl touches and new prints.
Here, Barbieri gives us a tour of her edited closet by answering the FN 3.
1. How many pairs do you personally own?
“I don’t have many. Sorry, does that make you sad? Including sneakers, I have around 20. I edit — I’m the same with my clothes. I look after my things, so you’ll see me in pretty much the same style. I get obsessed. I think it’s also because I travel a lot. I tend to pick out my three top styles. I think you wanted to hear I’ve got about 3,000.”
2. Heels or flats?
“Platforms. They make me feel a bit more ’70s.”
3. If you were a shoe, what shoe would you be?
“Probably our Lana. It’s just so representative of who we are that it would be silly to choose anything else. Other than in summertime and platforms, I’m always in a point on the higher, the mid or the flat [style].”
