Taylor Schilling and Chelsea Handler kicked off the TCA 2015 summer press tour on July 28 in statement shoes. Since then, Taraji P. Henson, Kerry Washington, Kate Bosworth and Lea Michele were among the actors who brought their shoe A game.
For the Netflix portion of the event, Schilling made an appearance for the “Orange Is The New Black” panel in Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, while Handler was on hand to promote her upcoming Netflix documentaries and talkshow in cut out open toe heels.
After Handler’s exit from her hit show “Chelsea Lately” on E!, the comedian chose to make a deal with Netflix and is creating a new talkshow, in addition to four documentaries — “Chelsea Does Marriage,” “Chelsea Does Racism,” “Chelsea Does Silicon Valley” and “Chelsea Does Drugs.”
“We’ll be in your face,” she said onstage, according to Variety. “Don’t worry.”
During the “Orange Is The New Black” panel, Schilling joined co-stars Uzo Aduba, Natasha Lyonne, Taryn Manning, Lea DeLaria and Selenis Leyva.
FN caught up with the “OITNB” costume designer during her own panel at the Accessories Council Summit on Monday, where she said she finds inspiration through people-watching, Instagram and from the input given by the actors, writers and directors.
Tina Fey, Jane Krakowski and Ellie Kemper also attended the Television Critics Association tour during the Netflix portion for “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.”
Ja Rule was also on hand during the Viacom TCA presentation for the “Follow The Rules” panel — his new reality series.
The rapper is clearly hitting every sector of entertainment with music, movies, TV and shoe designer under his belt. In Februrary, Steve Madden tapped Ja Rule for a men’s capsule collection called Maven x Madden, featuring five spring ’15 styles.
