Ralph Lauren & Vogue Host Celebrity-Filled Wimbledon Soirée

The fashion and sports worlds came together Monday night at an elegant garden party at Kensington Palace in London. The event, organized by Ralph Lauren and Vogue magazine, was a celebration of the upcoming Wimbledon tennis tournament, which starts on June 29, and Ralph Lauren’s 10th year as the event’s official outfitter.

The brand was certainly the unofficial outfitter for the evening — many of the A-list attendees came outfitted in head-to-toe RL. Actress Jessica Chastain looked elegant in a black silk crepe dress with white pleats, paired with black platform pumps. And “Cinderella” herself, actress Lily James, managed to make a white silk shirtdress and gold strappy sandals seem like ballroom attire.

Also in the crowd was footwear designer Charlotte Olympia Dellal, attired in a Ralph Lauren monochrome silk dress. But in a slight deviation from the night’s dress code, she paired the gown with her own brand’s embellished Starfish sandals.

“Downton Abbey” star and Golden Globe winner Joanne Froggatt was a standout (literally) in a bright-yellow shift dress and Ralph Lauren’s gray suede-and-metallic heels, and was seen sharing a few laughs with co-star James and her beau, former “Doctor Who” Matt Smith.

Meanwhile, “Game of Thrones” favorite Gwendoline Christie, in a short black skater dress and pointy-toe pumps, got in a few cheeky photo ops with legendary tennis ace Boris Becker, who was one of the party’s hosts.
