The Supreme Air Jordan 5, a collaboration between Jordan Brand and renowned New York City skate retailer Supreme, released its long-awaited sneaker this month — and celebs have taken notice. The shoe was originally available in three colorways on the iconic silhouette and was released only online in the U.S. and at Supreme’s London and Japan stores. Since its release, the sneakers have been sold out.
Kylie Jenner is one of the lucky few who got her hands on a pair. The social media star was seen out and about in Los Angeles rocking a pair of the white colorway. Boyfriend Tyga also donned the Air Jordan 5 Retro x Supreme in black for Kim Kardashian’s surprise birthday party.
Even though the sneakers are sold out, there’s a chance to grab the coveted camo version, which will be released on Nike Lab at a later date.
Air Jordan 5 Retro x Supreme. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the iconic Air Jordan V was the first of its kind; the first with an anatomically molded collar, the first to feature reflectivity, & the first to employ an ice bottom. Now, @supremenewyork, local skate institution with global appeal, offers their take on the influential design, with Supreme across the side paneling. Coming soon to nike.com/nikelab. #NikeLab
Joining Jenner and Tyga in what seems to be the new must-have sneaker trend is rapper and producer Jermaine Dupri, along with rapper Future. Dupri posted on his Instagram a pic of himself wearing a pair of both the black and camo colorways. Future also took to Instagram to show off a few onstage scenes — he has been performing in the Supreme Air Jordan 5s for the past week.
